Personality:
Maltichons are loving, affectionate, and great companions. They are known for their beautiful white coats and love of cuddling.
Maltichons are active dogs who enjoy playing and being around people. They are not aggressive, but they can be barkers. Maltichons need daily exercise, including a daily walk or playtime in the yard .
Temperament:
The majority of these dogs are calm, loving, and pleasant. They adore being around people and want to make their proprietors happy. They are also known to be very quiet dogs. Although some may bark, Maltichons are not yappy dogs.
Training & Learning:
Maltichons are intelligent dogs who are easy to train. They respond well to positive reinforcement and treat-based training. Crate training is recommended.
Despite this, Maltichons become quickly bored so shorter and more frequent training sessions are best. By doing this, you’ll keep your Maltichon engaged throughout each session which will expedite the learning process as a whole.
Caring For A Maltichon
Food & Hydration:
One of the first things you’ll need to do when you get a new pet is create a well-balanced, nutritious diet for them. Luckily, there are many commercial pet food options available that make it easy for owners to figure out what’s best for their pets. This also goes for the Maltichon.
A mixed-breed puppy like this one would thrive on a high-quality dry food for small dogs since to its tiny structure and modest exercise levels.
Because the Maltichon has a white coat and is bred in such a way that it’s more likely to have allergies, you’ll want to keep an eye out for scratching or any other signs of allergic reaction. If you notice your pet displaying these symptoms, it would be best to switch them onto hypoallergenic dog food.
Exercise:
These dogs have low to moderate exercise requirements, and thus you would not need to bring them to hikes or long walks every day.
A few short walks or a visit to the dog park each day should keep your Maltichon healthy and content. Your furry friend will love playing with its four-legged pals at the park!
Grooming:
Maltichons are low-maintenance dogs, but they will still require more effort than most other mixed breed dogs.
A daily brushing and an occasional bath are required to maintain their fine hair free of matting and tangle.
When it comes to taking them to the groomer, Maltichon just needs a few of the essential basic grooming, so you may spread out your visits and save money in the process!
